The East Midlands area incorporates Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire to name but a few. The region is often described as an economic hub, largely helped by its close proximity to the motorway network and excellent connections to London. The proposed HS2 high speed rail development is scheduled to run through the East Midlands, with a station pencilled in for Toton that will act as the East Midlands hub. The controversial high speed rail line would see a new route connecting Birmingham to Leeds.
Famous for the legend of Robin Hood and the picturesque Sherwood Forest, Nottingham is a vibrant city with a rich history of lace making and manufacturing. The city is now home to many serviced business centres and technology parks, designed to help start-ups and established businesses.
