Hell on Earth… Last weekend, Account Manager Craig dressed up as comic book favourite Hellboy (pictured, top) for a fancy dress Halloween party at his house – complete with bouncy castle. Despite expecting a modest group of people in token costumes (white sheets with eye holes), he was pretty impressed when 150 people not only turned up, but made a big effort by donning costumes from every far-flung corner of the imagination (his neighbours were slightly less amused, however).

Mo Wild… Just as scary as some of those Halloween costumes is the team’s participation in Movember, the annual charity fundraising event that encourages men to grow moustaches during November in the name of men’s health.

We are proud to have no less than 7 fine specimens currently being cultivated here at, by Simon, Alec, Gareth, Stephen P, Chris Mapp, Gerard and Craig.

Come back to the blog next week for photo evidence!

UFC… Chris (aka ‘The Bear’) is going to watch the Ultimate Fighting Champion at the LG Arena in Birmingham this weekend. Two friends from his local gym will be taking part in the UFC 138, and a number of other people from the Sales team are gathering at Marcus’ house to watch it on ESPN.

Elsewhere in Sales, Tom – who took part in the Oxjam event recently – is looking forward to watching the Arctic Monkeys tonight at the NEC; Dan is gutted about missing out on Saturday’s X Factor in favour of attending a 60th birthday party (but at least he’s got Downton Abbey to look forward to on Sunday); and having successfully laid 36 sq m of laminate floor recently, Ally is planning to spend his weekend fixing the throttle cable on his wife’s car.

Kaz is celebrating the starting of Eid on Sunday, which lasts until Wednesday, and is marking the occasion by enjoying plenty of time with family this weekend. Paul is going out in Leicester on Saturday with friends, and Ian is looking forward to his trip to Amsterdam on Wednesday, in which he will be visiting office providers in the area.

We couldn’t less this week’s Insider pass by without posting the evidence of Rachel’s night out last weekend, in which she and the rest of the group dressed up as Tigger for a 40th birthday do!

Work, Rest & Play? Dan Baldwin is playing hockey again this weekend at Lilleshall, which – for all you hockey enthusiasts out there – has the same surface as the Olympic stadium in Beijing and London! And Paul is looking forward to Sunday, as he’s planning a visit to the Marr’s Bar pub in Worcester for ‘The Sounds of Silence’ – a tribute to famous American duo ‘Simon and Garfunkel’.

On reception, Nicky is going to a fireworks party and is planning a spot of Christmas shopping this weekend, as well as taking her 8-year old son Kian to play football on Sunday for his local Nuneaton junior’s team.

Pacman returns… In IT, Coombs received a little present from his wife Becky earlier this week – a Pacman shaped stressball – which has reportedly come in handy quite a few times already. He is also wearing a Superman t-shirt today, which we thought was worth a mention.

Jo in Marketing is going to a fireworks display in Solihull this weekend, ‘Mo Bro’ Alec will mostly be watching Aston Villa play Norwich tomorrow, and “tending to his tache”. In Finance, Sarah is getting ahead of the game by starting to pack for her holiday to Hong Kong and Thailand (even though she’s still got a week to go). No doubt we will be hearing about it every day next week – so more on this in next Friday’s Insider!

That’s it for this week, but we’ll be back next Friday with another dose of antics!
