Temporary Office Space at Pie Factory to Remain Part of MediaCity
The Pie Factory, which was initially built as temporary office and studio space alongside the acclaimed MediaCityUK development, is to be retained having become hugely popular with local businesses.
Initially built as cheap temporary space to house production facilities, the Pie Factory – a former food production outlet – is close to full capacity as 25 out of 27 units have been let by clients.
Deals for the remaining two units are expected to be completed soon.
According to TheBusinessDesk, a spokesperson said that although studio and office space at the Pie Factory was initially designed to be an interim solution, until a new 250,000 sq ft studio block is completed next year, the type of projects being carried out in The Pie Factory are largely complementary to the type of filming it expects to take place in its studio complex.
As a result the Pie Factory, which was opened for media use in 2007, is now expected to continue its new lease of life as a TV production centre.
