Tallest Office Building in London To be Sold?

Tallest Office Building in London To be Sold?

Tower 42, originally known as the Natwest Building and the tallest building currently occupied in London, has been put up for sale according to reports from the Financial Times and Property Week.

The property, which stands at 183m high and provides 47 floors of commercial office space that includes grade “A” serviced offices, is expected to be marketed at a value of over £300m.

The sale of this well located and iconic building of the London skyline, should it actually go to market, would be the largest commercial property deal of 2010 within the Square Mile.

Riding off the back of commercial property price rises in recent months, owners of the office skyscraper Hermes Real Estate will be hoping to secure an asking price close to the peak prices commanded just three years ago. Given the iconic status of the building offers could even be boosted as a result.

As part of the proposed deal it is also reported that five surrounding buildings, which would include the Grade 1 listed Gibson Banking Hall, would be part of package.
