Stelios opens new flexible office centre in Manchester
easyOffice.co.uk, part of Stelios Haji-Ioannou’s Easy empire, has opened a new flexible office centre in Manchester at Devonshire House on George Street.
The site, owned by Property Alliance Group, has 14,000 sq ft over six floors and has been recently refurbished to provide a high profile reception and entrance.
easyOffice plan to open the centre in June, and provide up to 260 workstations for SMEs seeking flexible office space in the region.
The company came under fire earlier this year from the Business Centre Association, who criticised easyOffice’s abrupt closure of a business centre in Glasgow. Tenants were given just 10 days’ notice to find alternative workspace in a move that reportedly affected 12 businesses.
Following the most recent announcement of easyOffice’s new centre launch in Manchester, reports suggest that the company also plan to open a further 20 more sites throughout the UK in 2010.
Sir Stelios said: “I am delighted to have agreed the management contract with Property Alliance Group. This expansion sees us ahead of targets to deliver affordable office rates in great locations to major towns and cities in the UK.”
He added: “Opening in Manchester represents our strategic aim to take the easyOffice concept out of London and make it accessible to entrepreneurs and start ups in other parts of the UK.”
