Property Industry Gets Charitable in 2010

It would appear that 2010 is the year in which people from all realms of the office space / property industry have decided to put on their running shoes or boots (football, hiking or indeed riding) and help raise funds for a selection of charities.

The latest addition was international property consultancy King Surge – raising in excess of ┬ú600 for Midlands based charity St BasilΓÇÖs, a charity which provides support, advice and accommodation for young people aged 16 ΓÇô 25. Strapping on their hiking boots the 6-strong team from the firms Birmingham office undertook a 28 mile walk across the Cotswolds and completed the course in 9 hours and 12 minutes to finish 7th amongst the 80 teams that took part.

As mentioned several other property related firms have been helping to raise funds for charity since the start of 2010, including serviced office provider Avanta and little old us here at Avanta continued to raise funds for childrenΓÇÖs medical charity SPARKS while entered a team into a World Cup 5-a-Side tournament organised by the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce in aid of the Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer charity. has also continued its support of equine charity The Animal Healing Trust.
