Potential Office Scheme Revealed for Leicester City Centre
A potential new Headquarters office scheme in Leicester city centre have been revealed by development consultant Blueprint, as options for the St GeorgeΓÇÖs area of the city continue to be explored.
One of two options for the area, the office space scheme would cover an area of 50,000 sq. ft. ΓÇô almost the same size of a football pitch – and has been boosted by the success of the nearby Phoenix Square development which Blueprint also developed and opened last year, as Peter Connolly, BlueprintΓÇÖs development director explained when speaking to the Midlands Business Insider:
ΓÇ£The success of Phoenix Square, which opened in November 2009 and was 50 per cent occupied within the first three months, has been encouraging. It has given us added confidence in the St GeorgeΓÇÖs Cultural Quarter and brought forward our plans for further investment.
ΓÇ£The images show potential development plans for the area and we are keen to hear from prospective occupiers to see how we can work together to bring the development forward.”
The rival plan for the site outlines a four-star boutique hotel scheme with up to 150 bedrooms, a first floor restaurant and meeting room facilities.
It is understood the Blueprint intend to link this new site with the existing Phoenix Square development by making use of outdoor seating areas and pedestrian access.
