Blog’s Paul Miller takes to the Stage as Scrooge’s Paul Miller takes to the Stage as Scrooge

Tomorrow, Managing Director of Asia Pacific – Paul Miller – will be taking to the stage as Scrooge in the Ellenbrook Theatre Company’s 3-night adaptation of A Christmas Carol.

Paul, who is based in Perth, Australia, and heads up’s Asia Pacific side of the global office search business, is no stranger to the stage but as he says, it has been some time since he was last treading the boards.

“It will be the first time I have been on stage for 20 years,” he said, “but I am very much looking forward to it. We have had great fun rehearsing every weekend and have forged a good bond with the cast. We all feel that a little more rehearsal time would be good but then again I doubt we can never get enough.”

In contrast to the recent icy weather conditions that we have had to endure here in the UK ΓÇô something that looks set to continue with recent weather reports warning of more snow to come ΓÇô Paul’s only concern is that the outdoor performance in Perth will turn out to be too hot for him and the rest of the cast.

“I just hope the weather stays at around 30 degrees, as we are performing at the Amphitheatre outside and it can get pretty hot. Bah Humbug!”

However, the weather in Western Australia is threatening to increase to 35 degrees, which is unlikely to give the cast much relief.

“Dressed like you are in Victorian Britain does not help!” Paul added.

A Christmas Carol is taking place at the Woodlake Amphitheatre in conjunction with Limelight Scripts, on 17th, 18th and 19th December. Find out more about the performance and the Ellenbrook Theatre Company online at
