officebroker.com See Orange in Aftermath of World Cup Final
Despite the Netherlands’ defeat at the hands of European Champions Spain, who last night took the spoils in South Africa’s 2010 World Cup Final, staff at officebroker.com’s head office saw orange this morning as they turned up for work on an otherwise grey Monday morning.
Over the weekend, the corridors at officebroker.com’s head office near Tamworth – based in a historic former cotton mill – were transformed, and painted in the company’s distinctive orange colours.
Just a couple of staff members were expecting the transformation, so the rest of the 60-strong team could be forgiven for thinking that the bright makeover was carried out in support of the Oranje ΓÇô the Netherlands’ charismatic football team.
Initially, the chief suspect was Paul Austin – who heads up officebroker.com’s Affiliates department. Just before the World Cup kicked off, Paul drew the Netherlands in officebroker.com’s sweepstake, and was optimistic for a win by the Flying Dutchmen.
But sadly for Paul, his team failed to win the coveted title of World Cup Champions, and his disappointment resurfaced this morning as he was greeted with the colours of his losing team adorning the officebroker.com walls.
In reality, football had nothing to do with the office makeover. It was instead the first phase of a planned transformation to brighten up officebroker.com’s head office and implement the company’s branding, which – as shown by the logo – is a vivid orange.
But in an ironic twist, the person behind the orange branding exercise – PR Executive, Simon Jones – did in fact draw the winning team in the office sweepstake. Needless to say Simon took great delight in reminding Paul about the result, and is now looking forward to bragging rights for the foreseeable future!
