Jan Ibbott, Managing Director of business networking organisation Women in Business Network, has recently moved into new offices in Hemel Hempstead with the help of’s Marcus Shelton.

Jan, who founded WIBN back in January 2005, believes that word-of-mouth business to “oil the wheels of co-operation” is one of the most powerful and effective marketing tools available to companies, and established WIBN to help female entrepreneurs market themselves more effectively.

“I was inspired to start up WIBN after attending other networking organisations that had not created the right type of business environment to encourage women to share their businesses successes and business issues,” says Jan. “I felt that many of these organisations did not offer a supportive and encouraging network.”

Since 2005 WIBN has been assisting businesses through structured monthly meetings held in various locations around the UK, focussing on business referrals and contacts in a supportive atmosphere.

As the organisation has expanded and moved into new geographical areas, the team has also grown – and with this natural expansion comes the need for a larger serviced office from which to run the network.

Jan contacted and spoke to account manager Marcus Shelton about her new office space requirement.

“Marcus Shelton has been very attentive with regards to sourcing new office space for my company,” Jan commented. “He has kept in touch on a regular basis and sent regular updates straight after each telephone call, as promised, with emailed information.”

Jan’s initial requirements included an office to suit their expanding team within the Hemel Hempstead area. As Jan and her employees drive to work, the office needed to be close to the M1 with secure parking facilities.

Marcus recommended a number of suitable offices in the area for Jan and organised tours of each. Having visited each centre, Jan soon settled on an office on the outskirts of Hemel Hempstead (pictured), situated close to the M1 with excellent facilities and extensive on-site car parking.

Jan confirmed that the new office is “great”, and commented that since moving in the team are now settling in nicely.

“I would like to thank Marcus for all of his hard work,” she added.
