Since March this year, our consultants have been out visiting business centres all over the UK and have so far visited over 150 buildings, from Brighton and Portsmouth in the South up to Liverpool and Manchester in the North West.

The aim of these visits is to enable our Account Managers to learn more about the business centres they work with, so they are better able to provide advice and recommendations to their clients. It gives them the chance to try out the local transport networks, gain first-hand experience of the facilities and get to grips with the office culture, which all adds up to better product knowledge and more valuable advice.

“These visits really help our team to understand the centre on both a physical and a cultural level,” says’s Head of UK Sales, Chris Meredith.

“Obviously it’s great for us to get to know the people who run the centres and put names to faces. But the key thing is that the visits really improve our product knowledge, meaning we can provide better advice and ultimately know which location is likely to be a more suitable match for the client.”

Every visit involves a trip to several business centres throughout the day, some of which will include a tour of the building while others are simply a quick ‘drop in’ to meet the team.

The process has recently been built-in to each consultant’s role and now forms a key part of their responsibilities, with the aim that every individual will go out on a day visit at least once each quarter.

Some consultants, particularly those that have a large postcode area, have been out more than once within the current quarter and find the experience hugely valuable.

Rebecca-Jane Strawford, Account Manager for Central London, has been out three times this year already and has found the experience enormously beneficial.

“It’s been a great experience spending more time with providers recently in London,” she said. “I definitely believe this has helped improve our relationships with our providers.

“Personally I have found this invaluable as my increased understanding of the availability within buildings has definitely increased our conversions in the market.”

To get the most out of their day, each consultant brings back detailed feedback which is then logged and shared on the website in the form of a ‘Consultant Review’, helping prospective clients to gain a better understanding of the building.

So far we have visited over 150 centres, and we are proposing to visit as many buildings in our portfolio as possible throughout the course of the year. So if we haven’t already visited you or one of your centres this year, we hope to very soon.
