Industry reports… All regional reports from Q4 2010 are now available to download for free from the website, via the Stats & Facts section. Provider news… Orega sold 150 serviced office workstations to Deloitte at their High Holborn business centre, which takes the building over the 80% occupancy mark. Avanta’s meeting room sales rose by an impressive 7.5% in 2010 compared to 2009, and i2 Office announced the appointment of their new General Manager for Glasgow & Scotland, Fiona Lawrence. Plus Bizspace was in the news once again, this time to publicise the launch of a new indoor football centre at their Wakefield building at Thorne Mills.

Serviced offices in Heron Tower… Landmark plc, a serviced office provider with four centres located in the City of London, announced the launch of their 5th and most prestigious business centre located in the brand new Heron Tower, otherwise known as 110 Bishopsgate.

Thumbs up… has been given a definite ‘thumbs up’ from the serviced office providers that it works alongside, following the results of a survey that revealed eight out of ten UK business centres had found more than 50% of their clients via in 2010.

bca Regional Meetings 2011… Following the regional bca meetings in Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh and Central London, reports back on some of the issues raised and the proposed solutions.

Having a blast… braved the mud, rain and some Call of Duty-style action, as part of a paintball teambuilding event in February at the National Paintball Fields in Bassets Pole.

Conventional office news… As ever, there is plenty going on in the wider commercial property industry. Eric Pickles recently approved plans to redevelop the iconic Battersea Power Station, and The Shard at London Bridge – set to be Europe’s tallest building on completion in 2012 – recently served it’s very first eviction notice… to a fox cub.
