North East Expo Hosts Original Dragon, Rachel Elnaugh

The third North East Expo, a free business networking and informational event, will be taking place in Newcastle in November and features former BBC Dragon and entrepreneur, Rachel Elnaugh.

Organised by business owner Marc Gordon of Network North in partnership with Andrew Charlton of BACK Consulting, who is based at United Business Centres’ Cramlington location, the event is designed to bring professionals together and share knowledge through a masterclass series with business experts.

Founder of gift experience company Red Letter Days and star of the first two series of Dragon’s Den, Rachel is a seasoned entrepreneur who has experienced both highs and extreme lows in her long and varied career.

With extensive business and investment experience under her belt, Rachel now uses her knowledge and past encounters to help other entrepreneurs as a business mentor and speaker. She is also pursuing new enterprise routes and is currently planning a new venture, Imago People TV, which is set to air later this year.

At the November North East Expo, the third of its kind, Rachel will be giving words of wisdom and advice to business owners and employees from across the region, as part of a free six-part masterclass series.

Commenting on the upcoming event, she says: “I am really looking forward to sharing my experiences with business owners and employees from across the North East at the Expo.

“Events such as this help business owners and employees to develop, as well as supporting them in making connections that will assist the growth of their company.”

Organiser Andrew Charlton says that the last Expo was “a huge success”, bringing in over 110 exhibiting companies and over 900 attendees.

“We are expecting it to be even bigger this year, especially as Rachel Elnaugh is delivering one of the masterclasses,” he said. “A significant number of the exhibition spaces are now sold and we expect over 1,000 attendees so booking quickly for masterclasses is essential.

“It really is going to be a great event for making connections and growing your business whether you’re an attendee or an exhibitor.”

The event is free and all businesses large and small are invited to attend. For more information, to book a place or to exhibit at the event’s trade show, visit
