Newhaven Business Centre Celebrates Fourth Birthday
A business centre in Newhaven has recently celebrated its fourth birthday, following its successful opening on 5th November 2007.
Now home to 38 companies of varying sizes and industries, staff of the Basepoint-operated centre invited clients and local businesses for a coffee morning to mark the occasion. Three of the existing clients in attendance started at the centre when it first opened four years ago.
Centre Manager Claire Duc said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our fourth anniversary – despite the difficult economic climate we have a strong business community here at the centre and hope that this will continue.
“It’s great to hear such positive feedback from our customers who praise the centre and our team. We look forward to celebrating many more years at the centre.”

Basepoint has also been busy launching new networking events at their Swindon and Southampton locations, as well as continuing with its popular programme of business networking events at other centres including Canterbury.
The newly launched ‘Networking Hub’ attracted around 40 local businesspeople to the Swindon based centre, at which Al Keck, managing director from Toinfinity, gave an engaging guest speech on achieving the best results from websites.
Centre Manager Lyn Chapman said that the event was “extremely well attended” and a hive of activity, which she says is indicative that “people really enjoy and benefit from networking and business advice.”
At the new Southampton event, around 25 local business individuals attended to enjoy key speakers Paul Newton from Act-On Solutions, and Mark Edmunds from ShootingBusiness.com, who gave an insightful talk on the importance of You Tube.
Commenting on the event, Caroline Kendall, Centre Manager at Basepoint Southampton, said: “The Networking Hub is a great opportunity for small businesses to meet and interact with other likeminded people and hopefully provide the chance for future business.”
