MWB Launches Bespoke Designer Office Space
Serviced office provider MWB Business Exchange, which operates 67 business centres throughout the UK, has launched a new bespoke design service which allows clients to create their own office space from a choice of 12 different designs.
The new ‘Signature Office’ range is being rolled out across 10 MWB properties, following a successful prototype at the Cavendish Square location in Marylebone which has already seen several clients design their own offices.
Red Capital Investment Group, a property development company located at the Cavendish Square property, which focus exclusively on high performing real estate assets, is one such business to have taken advantage of MWB’s bespoke design service.
Partner Matthew Giles said that it is important for them to have “impressive office space”, adding: “Signature Offices not only allows us to put our stamp on the place, but supports and encourages us to do so.”
MWB Chief Executive John Spencer said that the Signature Offices concept is a “revolutionary one”. The idea emerged from research undertaken by MWB showing that almost half of respondents believe serviced offices are more about the office provider’s brand than their own business identity. 93% of respondents said that they want an office to ‘wow’ and impress their clients.
“It grew out of us listening to our clients,” John added. “They told us that they want more control over the design of their space. They want to wow their clients and feel it’s their space.
“That’s why unlike our rivals, we don’t cover our centres with our brand name. The Signature Office option will offer an unparalleled level of bespoke excellence that will allow companies to feel it really is their space.”
The process works by presenting interested clients to a ‘show office’, before they are offered a free bespoke design consultation by MWB, who then help the client bring their design specifications to life.
Frankie Chrysanthou, General Manager at Cavendish Square, added: “Clients are tired of a one-size fits all approach. We’ve always been proud of our unbranded stance and now we’re taking it to the next level. From break out areas to the type of wallpaper and the choice of flowers for the meeting rooms, Signature Offices put the client first.”
According to Frankie, one client requested a whole wall of chalk board “which gets scribbled on by the staff every day”, adding that they have had very positive feedback from clients. “They feel enormously empowered and liberated to discover that they can now get the bespoke office they’ve always wanted,” Frankie added.
The 10 locations offering the Signature concept are:
Knightsbridge: Basil Street
Noho: Tottenham Court Road
Blackfriars: Fleet Street
