London Business Centre Recognised for Fundraising Work

A business centre located in Highbury, North London, has been recognised for their on-going charity support and fundraising efforts at a drinks reception held at the House of Lords.

The centre organises regular events to help raise vital funds for one of their tenants, Women & Children First (WCF), a small charity that works to improve the health and wellbeing of women and children in poor communities.

The charity recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and marked the occasion with a reception hosted by author and comedienne, Kathy Lette, in which the business centre team were invited and described as the most “wonderful landlords we could ever have wished for”.

A spokesperson for the charity continued: “Not only do they offer us incredibly reasonable terms, we only pay 20% business rates, and they continually raise awareness of our little charity with the other 200 tenants by organising fun events that are essential to the survival of charities like ours. We can’t thank them enough.”

Since its launch 10 years ago the WCF has established successful partnerships in numerous locations including Bangladesh, Malawi, Nepal and India, and is helping to secure a better and healthier future for women and children worldwide.
