Late Surge From Honduras Takes Qualification Down to the Wire

Late Surge From Honduras Takes Qualification Down to the Wire

In what was a thrilling match for the neutral fan, the four goal half-time lead of FC (representing Cameroon) was overturned by Honduras last night in the second group game of the World Cup* and ended in an 11 ΓÇô 14 defeat.

After a strong start in which dynamic wing-back Andrew ΓÇ£RyanΓÇ¥ Quigley drove OBFC forward, things started to go astray shortly after the second half began, with defensive errors allowing their Central American opponents the chance to unleash a master-class in finishing.

While none of the disappointed players were available to comment, Jo Disney the teams press officer stated ΓÇ£Well at least we got 11 goals ΓÇô I mean thatΓÇÖs a lotΓÇ¥.

Qualification for the knock-out stages of the tournament will now hinge on their final group game against Portugal next week. The Portuguese, represented by Concept Saab, already have one victory against Honduras under their belts so qualification from the group promises to go down to a nail biting finish.
