110 Bishopsgate, aka Heron Tower, is an acclaimed new office building that upon its imminent completion will be the tallest property in the City of London.

Serviced office provider Landmark plc recently announced that they have agreed to take three floors of the building, and the company will launch a brand new 37,000 sq ft business centre on the 17th, 18th and 19th floors in July 2011.

According to Landmark Chairman David Todd the decision to acquire space in Heron Tower, once of the most prestigious and highly anticipated new developments in Central London, was made during a difficult trading period for the company. But with confidence that the market would inevitably rebound, Landmark went ahead with the agreement last July.

“Serviced offices have come of age, with companies increasingly realising the benefits and cost efficiencies of flexible occupational terms,” said David. It was this confidence in the market that prompted their decision to expand, and to “create a product that would cater to the increasing sophistication of the market we serve – which we felt was not being catered for.”

Heron Tower occupies a prime location just minutes from Liverpool Street Station. The demographic of the building enables the company to create a ‘village’ design that offers self-contained blocks, each with its own atrium, and first-rate office space that will offer panoramic views across the City.

The new-build space will undergo a £2m refit by Landmark and 500 workstations will be introduced, with a launch date of July 2011.
