Italian Artist Exhibits Work at North London Business Centre
Italian-born contemporary artist Irma Irsara is exhibiting a selection of her works at a serviced office property in Highbury, North London.
Irma’s work is produced in the open air at her North London allotment, where weather conditions, natural light, and the availability of organic material such as vegetables are all important factors in the final result.
Her unusual technique involves dying paper pulp and then using it to build up each image, layer upon layer, and working in other materials such as onion skins, rhubarb and artichokes – all of which are home-grown on Irma’s allotment.
The work is currently on display in the reception area at the serviced office property.
A spokesperson for the centre, which is operated by Busworks, commented:
“We’re thrilled to be working with such an exciting artist and privileged to be exhibiting her work. It has brought a new vibrancy to our work space and has given our tenants something to chat about in our communal lounge!”
