High Demand for Orega’s Expanded Birmingham Location

High Demand for Orega’s Expanded Birmingham Location

Orega’s Colmore Plaza business centre in central Birmingham has attracted five new businesses since the recent completion of its second phase extension.

Following full occupation of the first phase this summer, the second phase extension was completed last month and features an additional 7,500 sq ft which has been fitted out to a high standard.

The business centre is now home to new arrivals DWF, Simon Burn Solicitors, Arista Insurance, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (MSILM) and recruitment agency PSD.

DWF took up occupancy of 15 workstations to establish its first Birmingham office and add to its portfolio of seven offices, while niche litigation law firm Simon Burn Solicitors has signed up for two workstations and plans to expand in the city in the future.

From the insurance field, Arista will relocate from its Temple Row office and move into a 12-workstation office at Colmore Row later this month, while MSILM has now moved into a six-workstation office, representing its first Birmingham location.

Finally, recruitment firm PSD is relocating from its existing property in Colmore Row and will occupy six workstations in November on a one-year contract.

“Demand for the second phase has just snowballed since we signed the first client,” said Caron Salter-Hill, Sales & Business Centre Manager for Colmore Plaza in Birmingham.

“Professional services firms in particular have shown great interest in moving from elsewhere in the central business core to our well-appointed, well-serviced office accommodation.”

The arrival of these five new businesses means that 41 workstations have now been spoken for, and in total, two-thirds of the 17,500 sq ft business centre is now occupied.

“We are confident of filling much of the remaining second phase space in the next few months,” added Caron.

The business centre is located on the ground floor and mezzanine floors of the 14-storey property, and forms part of Orega’s 9-strong serviced office portfolio, which includes such locations as Bristol, Manchester, Wandsworth and High Holborn.
