Chip Fat Fuels Eco-friendly Business Park Shuttle
A free shuttle bus service that runs between a business park in Basingstoke and the train station is powered by recycled used cooking oil.
The courtesy service for Chineham Park is already a popular feature for staff who work on the business park, and its eco-friendly qualities has proven to be a hit with commuters.
Business park tenant Tiziana Amendola is impressed that the service she uses every day “is not harming the environment”, while Dr Ken Cowley of Develop IQ added:
“It is great to see new technology apply to everyday environmental challenges such as my daily commute. I know my travel to work is more socially responsible by using the Chineham Park coach.”
The free service runs between Chineham Park and Basingstoke railway station every 15 minutes at peak hours, as well as Festival Place at lunchtimes.
