Business Park Managers Support Young Apprentices

Fasset, the managers of Hersham Place Technology Park in Surrey, are supporting the Rydens Enterprise School and Sixth Form College Apprentice Competition for 2013.

This will be the eighth year the competition has taken place and the third time it has been supported by the Fasset team.

The 20 students who begin the competition are faced with a number of real-world business challenges to overcome. All applicants are expected to demonstrate their entrepreneurialism, their articulation and their commitment to overcoming obstacles and reaching their goals.

The first round of the competition will take place at Hersham Place Technology Park on September 26th hosted by Account Manager, Mitch Avis.

ΓÇ£Fasset has supported this for the last 3 years and is delighted to again be part of this exciting business challenge,ΓÇ¥ says Mitch Avis.

ΓÇ£The standards last year were immensely high and the students really put their heart and soul into the competition. Shaping the future of business in the region is key to its sustainability and long term growth.

ΓÇ£To achieve this we need to support and nurture young talent and this is a great opportunity to see those rising stars in action.ΓÇ¥

A ΓÇÿGrand FinaleΓÇÖ takes place at the Rydens Enterprise School on December 7th, where the six remaining finalists will compete for the apprentice prize.

Elsewhere, the Fasset team has appointed their own new business leader in Paul Weller, who has joined the management team at Langstone Technology Park as Engineering Manager.
