OBFC (officebroker.comΓÇÖs dynamic in-house football team) are now only hours away from taking on the role of Cameroon in the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce 5-a-side World Cup where they will meet England in their opening game.

After a shocking last minute injury to Nick Griffiths OBFC has been forced into a late change to the already red hot line up. In an unprecedented U-turn Chris ΓÇ£the grizzly bearΓÇ¥ Meredith is to follow the likes of Jamie Carragher by coming out of international retirement for the tournament.

What is not yet clear is whether this will mean a full time come back for the dynamic defender, in a brief statement on the club website Chris made his intentions for the tournament clear to the awaiting journalists ΓÇ£trust me when I say IΓÇÖm not just going to make up the numbers ΓÇô The Bear is BackΓÇ¥

This late addition to the first team follows OBFCΓÇÖs opening match of the tournament having been moved from its originally scheduled kick ΓÇôoff on Tuesday. But before OBFC have had the chance to kick a ball Spain, Italy and the USA have established themselves as early favourites in the tournament after strong opening games which featured a flurry of goals.

The tournament, which will take place at Yardley Powerleague has been organised by the Birmingham Chamber and will also help to raise money for the Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer charity as they seek to buy equipment for use at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
