Agents Appointed to Wakefield Office Space
Joint leasing agents have been appointed to the Merchant Gate development in Wakefield according to TheBusinessDesk.com, with Jones Lang LaSalle and King Sturge charged with overseeing the 48,000 sq. ft. of office space that sits at the heart of what is hoped will become ΓÇ£a new destination for business and leisureΓÇ¥
Part of a larger regeneration project delivered by the English Cities Fund (ECf), the Grade ΓÇÿAΓÇÖ Office Space on offer will be accompanied by residential accommodation and 35,000 sq. ft. of retail and leisure space.
ΓÇ£Merchant Gate comprises three brand new buildings which make up an impressive new business district and comprise some of the best offices currently available in Wakefield.ΓÇ¥ explained Jeff Pearey ΓÇô head of the National Offices team of Jones Lang LaSalle whose office is located in Leeds.

Despite the tough economic climate which continues to impact upon the property industry, the Merchant Gate scheme is described as having already gained ΓÇ£great momentumΓÇ¥, with the first phase of the project attracting interest from both local firms and national companies according to a ECf spokesperson.
Seen as the spearhead of a major regeneration program aimed at revitalising Wakefield, it is hoped that the office space developed as part of the Merchant Gate scheme will attract additional businesses to the area.
