Located in the grounds of Liverpool John Lennon Airport is Harley Scott’s popular business centre, one of four North West buildings operated by the company offering serviced space to businesses large and small.

Completed in 2009, Liverpool Business Centre is modern and impressive, providing a first-rate business experience for clients in a contemporary working environment complete with a stellar support network and a host of amenities for clients’ use.

It is the on-site management team of Jamie Doran and Emily Sandeman along with the facilities on offer that has drawn the most praise from clients of the business centre. A number of satisfied tenants have written feedback of the centre via the website, such as Simon Albert from The PC Support Group. He commented that the centre was the “obvious choice” for his company, particularly due to the service and facilities.

“From the smiles when you first arrive, to the Dyson Blade hand dryers, this place ticks all the boxes,” he said. “There is a feeling of abundance and generosity in the way this place is run and managed and nothing is too much trouble.”

Adam Cornwell from Creative Hotspot echoed these sentiments and also highlighted the “community feel”, which in his experience is often missed in inner-city office locations, while Jolent Thomas from High Reach Northwest Ltd added that the centre has generated new business opportunities for their company.

“The ample space gives us the opportunity to expand our business, hire more staff and gain a very professional image. The facilities available are very impressive and the staff are very professional in helping you and your business. I would recommend any size business to consider moving in to the business centre.”

Some of the inclusive facilities on offer include meeting rooms and conference facilities, use of the gym, on-site car parking and even storage space, while one of the newest additions to the building are individual ‘Hotpods’. A hotdesk style solution for clients that need commitment-free space on an ad-hoc basis, Hotpods are economical to rent but are still supported by the centre’s on-site management team, and include use of various facilities. Account Manager Gerard Richards, who handles enquiries for the area, recently visited the business centre and said that it reminded him of a 5-star hotel.

“It’s geared up for small businesses just as much as large corporates, and clients have a very good support network on hand,” he said. “The centre is also really transparent and clients get a lot of amenities inclusive – which is beneficial for all businesses but particularly for smaller firms.”

Business Centre Manager Jamie Doran (pictured, right) says that the centre is designed to give SMEs “the sort of presence normally affordable to multi-national organisations,” and says that the team pride themselves on their customer service and their flexible approach, which adds value to their clients’ businesses.

“Our motto is ‘Office Space Made Simple’ and this is what we pride ourselves on,” she said. “We are willing to cater for our tenants’ every need, at no extra cost, whether our tenants have 3,000 square foot or a one man desk.

“We like to practise what we preach, we are very tenant orientated and our main aim is supplying our tenants with the image and facilities they need to promote their business. We also like to ensure that moving is as simple as possible, so we add a helping hand from anything such as company re-branding right down to moving and storage services.”

Aside from a steadily evolving client base, the centre is host to monthly business networking events and also runs its own Business First Network – an online portal for clients to advertise their services to each other.

Commenting on winning the award, Jamie and Emily said that they are “delighted”:
