The Business Centre of the Month award celebrates serviced office centres that deliver exceptional levels of service and generate a positive business community.

Excellent customer service aside, interaction with their Account Manager and an active online profile are also important factors in achieving this award, and since April 2010, has been singling out centres that satisfy these criteria to the standards set by Jim Venables, Managing Director and award judge.

Testament to the quality of service provided by the staff are a number of client reviews, which have been written by clients who have either toured or rented space at the centre. The reviews praise staff for their helpful attitude and also the building’s “impressive” facilities.

Following a tour of the office in February, Mark Bolton from Polestar PLC gave the centre top marks and commented on the facilities, particularly the breakout areas and roof terrace, by likening them to “Apple’s Palo Alto office”.

More recently, tenant Ben Potter from ASPone commented that the staff are “professional, and respond quickly to any ad-hoc requests”, adding that he “would be lost without them.” Terry Farr from Claremont Forbes added to this, saying that he found the staff “very flexible” when his company required extra space, adding: “We couldnΓÇÖt imagine working anywhere else.”

One of the points that Jim picked out was the way in which office tours are conducted with potential clients at 3 Lloyds Avenue.

The office tour is a crucial part of the search for new office space, and tours are only carried out by Commercial Manager Amy Burke (pictured, second from left). Amy also manages the building and therefore has in-depth knowledge of the space and facilities available.

“We’re always confident that our clients will have a great tour and be suitably impressed by the service as well as the building itself,” commented Jim.

Clients that proceed to take space at 3 Lloyds Avenue have Amy’s support every step of the way – from signing the agreement and small everyday queries, right through to expanding their office space.

As commented by Esselco’s Matt Davies, this is an important factor. “Our relationship with our clients means we know what is important to them,” he said, “and we know that it is the personal touch and attention to detail which makes the difference between a good and an outstanding business centre.”
