The Grade II listed Caswell House

April’s Business Centre of the Month winner is an attractive site based within 25 acres of Northamptonshire countryside, boasting many key positives and providing a superb range of advantages for clients.

Along with the more obvious benefits such as top-class facilities, flexible office space and a convenient location within the M1/M40 corridor, Caswell Science & Technology Park has several other lesser-known selling points that are certainly attracting an increasing number of clients to its front door.

Visually appealing, the centre is based within the attractive Grade II listed Caswell House and former stable block, which have been fully renovated and re-fitted to suit businesses seeking quality office space but which still retain their historical charm.

Despite its size, the park offers a range of quality office, workshop and industrial space and Fasset are keen to welcome small and start-up businesses as much as larger, more established firms.

“Fantastic product”

Commenting on the business centre, Sales Manager Chris Mapp said that Fasset have created a “fantastic product” which provides a shining example for the serviced office industry, and was also impressed by the staff at Caswell Science & Technology Park.

“We have worked with Fasset for several years now and they provide an excellent workplace environment for clients,” said Chris. “Their customer service is of a consistently high standard and our team are always complimentary of the staff they work with at Caswell, along with their other centres at Langstone and Hersham.”

This is also evident from the range of positive testimonials posted about Caswell Science & Technology Park, written by clients from businesses of varying sizes and industries that have found their ideal location at Caswell.

“This is the perfect environment to grow our business at a pace,” commented Hardeep Lall from Harbury Consulting, a recruitment and business consultancy firm. Hardeep said that one of the main positives was the “real commercial buzz” and grand surroundings at the centre, along with the location: “There is no battle with commuter or town traffic and no astronomical parking charges.”

Clients have consistently expressed praise about the centre via the website, specifically about the high standard of facilities at Caswell and the friendly on-site staff.

As noted by Fasset’s clients, one of the other lesser-known key benefits is the sense of community within the park and between the firms based there, which is conducive to a pleasant work environment and actively encourages tenants to do business with each other.

Commenting on the supportive business atmosphere and the community spirit, Alan Dunkley from LTR Elevators said that the site’s campus-style business hub is the “ideal location” to base their company – “you can’t beat being in the company of like-minded entrepreneurs because the energy rubs off on everyone” – while Jonathan Stuart from Rosslyn Stuart Associates Ltd added:

“The business community on-site has given us an immediate network which is invaluable. The other tenants are friendly and welcoming – there are even occasional tea parties to help networking!”

Feedback such as this shows that since taking over the management and running of the park, Fasset have made the site into more than just a workplace and have given wings to many businesses both large and small, which enables business owners to establish a solid base and focus on progressing their company.

“Beautiful surroundings”

Commenting on winning the award, Mitch Avis – Key account manager at Fasset – said:

“As the operators of Caswell Park we at Fasset are passionate in providing a great environment for both start-ups and more mature companies to operate their business,” said Mitch. “In this multi-tenanted Park our tenants benefit from networking and developing B2B opportunities whilst working in beautiful surroundings which also provides exceptional facilities such as an onsite restaurant, 24/7 security and facilities services and ample free parking.”

Mitch continued by paying homage to Victoria Powell (pictured above right), head of Sales & Marketing at Caswell Science & Technology Park, and attributes much of the ParkΓÇÖs award to her work within the company.

“As such this award is great news and a real reflection of the efforts of Victoria and the services provided by the in-house Fasset Facilities team. Victoria has worked tirelessly to attract new companies to the site and there are now 20 companies working from the Park. Well done!”

He added: “Vacant space remains for solutions ranging from 1 workstation to 12,000 sq ft of office space. Victoria would be delighted to respond to any enquiries from potential tenants who wish to share in the Caswell experience!”
