Big Business Boost for Central Birmingham in 2011
The average workstation price in central Birmingham was ┬ú213 in 2011
Detailing the trends and changes recorded in the serviced office market, the latest instalment of the Serviced Office Review Series shows that the average requirement increased from 3.4 workstations in 2010 to 5.9 workstations during 2011 across central Birmingham.
This increase reveals that those businesses moving to serviced office accommodation during 2011 required an additional 2.5 workstations when compared to the previous year.
The impact of these larger workstation requirements offset an 11% decrease in the number of individual businesses making the move to serviced offices during 2011.
According to the findings of officebroker.com the cost of serviced office space also decreased, falling from an average of ┬ú236 per workstation per month in 2010 to ┬ú213 in 2011. Despite this decrease workstation prices in central Birmingham remain above the ┬ú183 average recorded across the West Midlands region during this same 12 month period.
The report also shows that commitment levels amongst serviced office tenants remained largely unchanged, with the initial licence length of 9 months recorded during 2010 being equalled during 2011.
