Barclays joins a group of other companies that have recently signed up to office space in Manchester’s Spinningfields. As reported on our office blog, law firms Beachcroft and Pinsent Mason, along with the General Medical Council, have all recently taken up space in the office space complex.
Barclays have reportedly taken up 36,000sq ft of office space in a 15 year lease. As reported by TheBusinessDesk, the company will be bringing together its teams from around the city, who are currently located in Marsden Street, Mosley Street and Salford Quays.
Michael Hartig, head of Barclays Commercial Bank in Manchester, said in an interview with TheBusinessDesk:
“The new office will offer an excellent environment for both our staff and customers in Manchester enabling us to bring together our existing banking operations under one roof, while remaining close to the traditional heart of Manchester’s business community.”
