Top Marks for Langstone Technology Park
In its annual customer satisfaction survey, a Langstone-based business and technology park near Havant, Portsmouth, has scored an impressive 91% – representing a 4% rise on last year’s results.
The 40-acre park, which is managed by serviced office provider Fasset, is home to 3,000 staff employed by 35 companies from a range of sectors, including electronics brand Hitachi, telecoms giant AT&T, data storage systems specialist Xyratex, and social housing company Kinetics.
Key findings from the survey reveal that Fasset’s team of staff are considered to be professional and helpful. Tenants also commented that they felt safe whilst working on site, and respondents were also “more than satisfied” with the standard of cleanliness.
“We believe the high level of satisfaction is attributed to our focus on process improvement, where we identify and eliminate the root cause of performance deficiencies at the earliest opportunity,” commented Managing Director of Fasset, Gary Medlow.
“Whilst 91% of respondents were satisfied with the overall service we provide, we will continue to asses our customers’ requirements to ensure that our business park leads the way for services and facilities provision in the South. We are grateful for all of the feedback and are already evaluating any concerns raised or ideas put forward.”
Gary said that last year’s survey results assisted in the planning of developments and service enhancements at the site, and commented that their tenants are their “top priority”.
“As I have mentioned before, we never stop achieving here for tenants and visitors,” he added. “We have developed a programme for the customer services delivery team, which involves on-the-job training as well as vocational qualifications; and we believe we are quite unique in doing this. We recognise that this is a never-ending journey and whilst we are delighted with these results, we are continuously striving to achieve more.”
Fasset bucked the customer service trends reported by the Property Industry Alliance and CoreNet Global UK in September 2010, which reported that UK commercial property occupiers rated their level of satisfaction at below 50% and felt landlords needed to focus more on customer service and environmental issues.
Langstone Technology Park offers flexible office space and key amenities for businesses including meeting rooms, free parking, an on-site café, restaurant and gym facilities. A new nursery is due to open in January 2011 exclusively for tenants, which will offer up to 52 places for children aged 6 months to 5 years.
