The Shard at London Bridge to Gain Three ΓÇ¥ShardettesΓÇ¥
Seller Property, the company behind The Shard Tower at London Bridge, are reportedly about to submit plans for the construction of three smaller towers alongside the landmark building which once completed will offer 24 floors of grade A office space.
The new towers, being dubbed ΓÇ£The ShardettesΓÇ¥, will not however offer office space, instead providing around 600,000 sq ft of space which will feature 370 homes, a hotel, shops and a cinema.
According to reports from Estates Gazette, the application for the three ΓÇ£ShardettesΓÇ¥ was expected a year ago but had been revised following discussions with local stakeholders.
Also reported on theconstructionindex.co.uk, Peter John, leader of Labour-led Southwark council was said to have explained that Sellar had agreed to reduce the height of one of the towers because of its effect on Snowsfields and Bermondsey Street – plans are likely to be submitted this week, he said.
