The Dalek: YorkshireΓÇÖs Tallest Office Building on the Market
The tallest office building in Yorkshire is being marketed with up to 20,000 sq ft of Grade A office space available.
Standing at 110 metres (360 ft) to roof level, the Bridgewater Place property, also known as The Dalek, is located in Leeds‘ popular Holbeck region overlooking the River Aire.
The office and residential skyscraper, which is visible at 25 miles from some areas, is being marketed by the Leeds office of Knight Frank in conjunction with BNP Paribas Real Estate.
“The facilities, as you would expect, are superb,” commented Guy Cooke of Knight Frank, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.
He said his team was delighted to be offering “an excellent and rare opportunity to take Grade A office accommodation,” adding: “The views across Leeds and beyond are breath-taking and the working environment is second-to-none.”
The Bridgewater Place property has 32 storeys which includes office space, residential space, and car parking.
Current office tenants include Ernst & Young, ghd, and BDO Stoy Hayward.
Among the more unwanted attentions bestowed on the building are an appearance in the 2008 shortlist of the Carbuncle Cup – an award presented to buildings “so ugly they freeze the heart”.
