Sweet Office Space Secured in York
The former TerryΓÇÖs Chocolate Factory in York, which was converted into business and office space earlier this year, will welcome a new occupier in the form of Surveyors and Architects firm LHL as the firm prepare to relocate its 30 strong to a new office space within the development.
Speaking to thebusinessdesk.com LHL managing director John Denton said: ΓÇ£The Bishopthorpe site will become a major business hub for the whole region. ItΓÇÖs great for us to be locating into BREEAM-excellent rated offices which we have helped shape to meet our needs.
“The additional space at York will be used to nurture team working and to further develop our range of first-class services to both regional and national clients.ΓÇ¥
Alongside the new offices on the site of the former chocolate factory, LHL will also maintain a series of satellite offices in Harrogate, Doncaster, Newcastle Upon Tyne and Hull. The new offices will provide the firm with 3,000 sq ft of prime office space.
During its transformation from the home of the TerryΓÇÖs Chocolate Orange to business centre, the developers sought the views and opinions of the local community, working in conjunction with the City of York Council. As part of this process they interact on a regular basis through a Community Forum and distribute e-newsletters in order to help shape the future of this historic local site.
