St PaulΓÇÖs Square Development Completed
Sir Michael Lyons and Lord Heseltine are to formally open Liverpool’s No 4 St Paul’s Square, marking the completion of the ┬ú32m building.
Financed by a joint venture from both the public and private sector by developer English Cities Fund, the building is expected to become the principal site of Liverpool’s central business district.
According to Lord Hesteltine, the 100,000 sq ft of Grade A office space “is an example of effective partnership between the public and the private sector” and he anticpates “a demand from the private sector which will be hugely welcome and help the city to build on the real progress it has made in recent years.”
Sir Lyons also commented that “The opening of No 4 St Paul’s Square marks a 10 year commitment to Liverpool by the English Cities fund. The St Paul’s Square scheme has provided an entirely new focal point for Liverpool’s Central Business District and plays a crucial role in the reshaping of the city centre and how it does business.”
The eight-storey building concludes the development project of St Paul’s Square and is the first completed stage of a major proposal aimed at enhancing Liverpool’s commercial offering. The entire office led development is eventually expected to deliver up to 1.5 million sq ft, advancing Liverpool’s reputation as one of the UK’s premier business locations.
