Serviced Office Provider Sponsors a London Elephant
Serviced office provider Business Environment is pledging their support for elephant welfare and survival charity Elephant Family, by sponsoring one of the life-sized elephant models that have been dotted around the streets of London.
London’s biggest ever public art event involves 250 enormous model elephants placed in various locations around the capital, alongside recognisable landmarks.
Funds raised by the charity’s Elephant Parade, in which charity Elephant Family are working alongside the Wildlife Trust of India, will be used to buy and manage wildlife habitat across Asia to ensure a safer and more sustainable future for Asian elephants. Funds will also be invested in educational projects across the continent to highlight the commercial, cultural and ecological significance of Asian elephants.
Business Environment has sponsored Midnight Indigo, who has been hand-painted by artist Cornelia O’Donovan and is located in Bow Churchyard, Cheapside, from 3rd May to 23rd June.
David Saul, Managing Director at Business Environment, commented:
“Our sponsorship initiative is part of Business Environment’s values regarding protecting the environment and communities. By helping to sponsor London’s Elephant Parade, we are delighted to support this wonderfully creative project that aims to raise awareness of the Asian elephant’s plight. In addition, the incredible artwork has added life and vibrancy to the City.”
Sotheby’s will auction the elephants at an event on 30 June.
