Serviced Office Growth Boost for Bruntwood
Bruntwood, which operates serviced and conventional office space across the North West, has reported a 15-year high in enquiries for its key Liverpool locations and announced its intention to expand a number of business centres.
According to their annual report, Bruntwood state that demand for their Liverpool properties is coming predominantly from the private sector – refuting the claim that the city is over-dependent on the public sector.
In addition, most of their recent demand in Liverpool is coming from SMEs and this is leading to increased interest in Bruntwood’s serviced office product, specifically for The Plaza in Liverpool (pictured), which has enabled the company to expand its existing business centre and increase the number of workstations by 25%.
Located on Old Hall Street in the central business district, The Plaza is a modern office building that has been extensively refurbished by Bruntwood and has proved enormously popular with clients both old and new. Existing client Enfinity UK Limited, a sustainable design company, has more than doubled their serviced office space there in recent weeks and was able to do so within a short notice period, as Bruntwood’s Colin Forshaw explains:
“It’s great news that Enfinity have taken the option to expand with us. We have adapted the serviced space to meet the needs of the company to take additional workstations at very short notice. The company can continue to expand with us as and when they require.”
Similarly, Bruntwood’s Deansgate business centre in Manchester offers modern space for SMEs and has also seen an increase in enquiries over recent months. In May last year a further 40 workstations were created and the business centre has been running close to full occupation for 6 months.
The company now plan to add another floor of serviced office space to their existing portfolio, boosting the size of the Deansgate centre by almost 50%, which will bring an extra 70 workstations to central Manchester.
The new space will also feature communal areas, meeting rooms and an on-site customer service team.
Bruntwood’s expansion plans will bring their serviced office portfolio to 2000 desks across 12 buildings in Manchester, Knutsford, Cheadle, Warrington, Altrincham, Leeds, Liverpool and Birmingham. The company, which also offers conventional office space, owns more than 100 office buildings throughout the UK.
