Secret Millionaire Charity Moves into Derbyshire Business Centre
me&dee, a charity that helps to provide fun days out and special memories for people with life-threatening illnesses, has taken up residence with a business centre in Castle Donington, Derbyshire.
Founder and director of the charity, Maria Hanson, recently appeared on Channel 4’s The Secret Millionaire, which helped to raise awareness of me&dee and its incredible support for people with critical or life shortening illnesses.
The charity has recently appeared in the Derby Evening Telegraph and has also been approached by several magazines.
So moved were viewers of the programme that Maria was inundated with messages of support, and one transatlantic viewer – Hollywood producer and media personality David Gest – became the charity’s patron as a result and has since donated numerous items and signed memorabilia to me&dee for auction.
me&dee is now located in an elegant Georgian property offering professional office space in the village of Castle Donington.
The building is one of two business centres operated by DBS Managed Offices, the second being a Grade II listed building in Glenfield, which was presented with the Business Centre of the Month Award by officebroker.com in February 2011.
On the evening of 8th September, The Old Vicarage business centre will host a launch party for the charity from 5-7pm, featuring drinks, nibbles and a chance to network with local businesses. Tickets cost £10 and can be reserved online.
