Podcast Keeps Co-op Staff Updated on New Head Office

The Co-operative group have chosen to keep their staff up-to-date on the groups new head office in Manchester by launching a podcast ΓÇô allowing them to get involved and excited about the project that sits at the heart of a joint regeneration project backed by Manchester City council.

The podcast will provide regular updates on development and allow both staff and members of the public to track the progress of the new office space. Once completed the office scheme will provide over 300,000 sq. ft. of grade A office space in Central Manchester for the firms staff.

Due to be completed in 2012, the introduction of the podcast update forms part of the companyΓÇÖs commitment to keep both its staff and the local residents informed on the progress of this landscape changing project ΓÇô as Robert Cohen, Senior Communications Manager at the Group explained:

ΓÇ£WeΓÇÖre really excited to be able to launch this podcast, which will give people across the country the chance to find out about some of the qualities that will make our new home such an exciting and unique place to work. The podcast allows the people involved with the project to really bring it to life and there is a lot of fascinating information that you can only get through the podcast.ΓÇ¥

The new office space is also being constructed with sustainability in mind and is expected to be one of the most sustainable office developments in Europe upon its completion. The construction company behind this green minded scheme are BAM ΓÇô who ranked 25th in the Sunday Times Best Green Companies list in 2010.
