Orega to Launch 5th London Business Centre Location
Serviced office provider Orega marks its fifth London office location by launching in Chancery Lane’s famous ‘Serjeants Inn’.
Award-winning serviced office provider Orega is adding a 12th location to its portfolio at London’s historic legal quarter. Now known as 5 Chancery Lane, the former ‘Serjeants Inn’ dates back to the early 1400s when it was the offices of the Serjeants of Law – the highest-ranking members of the English bar.
The original structure was all but destroyed in 1666 during the Great Fire of London, and the subsequent property was also badly damaged in World War II. The building that stands today features a grand architectural design and ornate facade that pays homage to its past, while its important role in history is recognised by an English Heritage Blue Plaque.
Inside, the bricks and mortar might be historic, but the business centre is far from it. Like many serviced offices located within historic properties, the workspace environment is contemporary and fitted out with the latest amenities to ensure clients have all the necessary mod cons at their fingertips.
At Chancery Lane, Orega is currently renovating the reception area, offices and communal areas to provide a fresh design that complements the visual appeal of this London landmark.
As part of the renovation work, the centre will feature a 6-storey glass atrium, an indoor garden and a glass elevator offering views across the city.
In fact, the views are one of the key selling points of the property. The office space benefits from spectacular 360-degree views across London, taking in such icons as the London Eye, St. PaulΓÇÖs Cathedral, the Gherkin, and the brand new Shard. Clients can also enjoy views across the adjacent gardens of Kings College London.
Zach Douglas, joint MD of Orega, said that the centre is a “fantastic addition” to their portfolio. “Judging by the enormous interest in our nearby High Holborn centre we fully expect Chancery Lane to be a great success in this popular business district,” he added.
A total of 21,500 sq ft of serviced office space will be available to clients upon the centre’s opening in Summer 2013.
