Olympic Dinner Lapped-up for Charity
Avanta has helped to raise in excess of ┬ú6,500 for childrenΓÇÖs charity Sparks, with over 70 guests attending the charity dinner and auction hosted by Olympic legend Sir Matthew Pinsent which was sponsored by the serviced office space operator.
Taking place at the trendy Vanilla bar in Westminster, the Olympic themed event allowed guests to enjoy an indulgent three course meal, after dinner speech by sports broadcaster Stuart Storey and a Question and Answer session with Sir Pinsent before getting down to the real business of the night ΓÇô the auction.
Offering guests the opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of sporting memorabilia and experiences, the auction included the opportunity to have lunch with Rugby Union legend Jason Leonard as well as Ferrari and Lamborghini driving experiences.
ΓÇ£This Olympic-theme event has helped to kick off our fundraising activities in support of Sparks for 2011,ΓÇ¥ commented AvantaΓÇÖs Managing Director David Alberto, ΓÇ£And both Sir Matthew and Stuart Storey pulled out all the stops to help us to top the ┬ú6,500 we raised for Sparks at our Rugby-themed dinner, held last year.ΓÇ¥
Sparks research is at the cutting edge of medical science, with all of its pioneering and ground-breaking work targeted at helping babies and children and the families who love them.
