North-West media company signs deal with BBC Worldwide
As reported on our blog in August, North-West media company Ten Alps recently opened a new office in Asia as part of their continued expansion.
Since then, TheBusinessDesk reports that Ten Alps has signed a 3-year distribution deal with BBC Worldwide. The agreement will see BBC Worldwide working closely with Ten Alps, to provide support and development funding. In return, the BBC will have exclusive first option rights to distribute commissioned programmes on a global basis.
According to TheBusinessDesk, Alex Connock, chief executive of Ten Alps, said:
“We made expansion of the international potential of our programming a key goal for this year. Working with BBC Worldwide, with their unique footprint, is exactly the relationship we were looking for.”
