Movember: Regus Managers Grow ‘the Mo’ for Men’s Health
If you have noticed a few more moustaches around lately, don’t be alarmed ΓÇô it’s all for a good cause! ‘Movember‘ has once again gripped the nation, and thousands of men around the world are currently growing moustaches in support of men’s health.
Inspired by the enormous support given to female charities and campaigns such as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, each year the month of November and ‘the Mo’ ΓÇô a slang term for moustache ΓÇô come together as Movember. The idea was created in 2003 in Melbourne, Australia, as a way to support men’s health and also for a bit of fun.
Guys start the month clean-shaven, and then allow their moustache to grow throughout November. Synonymous with the attempt to “change the face of men’s health”, the campaign supports charities such as the Prostate Cancer Charity and Everyman, and is now a global phenomenon.
Three moustache-clad representatives of the serviced office industry ΓÇô Regus’ Area Sales Director for London East Steve Marsden, and Area Sales Managers Simon Renwick and Richard Rees – are taking part in Movember.
As shown by their photos, they are well on their way to sporting a fully grown ‘mo’, and the race is now on to see who can grow the most impressive ‘tash’ by the end of the month.
“Damned handsome, eh?” commented Richard, pictured, top
Movember now takes place across the UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and a growing number of locations across Europe. Since 2003, over 627,000 ‘Mo Bros’ and ΓÇÿMo Sistas’ have supported the campaign, raising over ┬ú26million in 2009 alone.
Well done to Steve, Simon and Richard ΓÇô and everyone else taking part!
