More Businesses Turn to Serviced Offices in East Midlands

A growing number of businesses looking for office space in the East Midlands chose to enter serviced offices during Q3 2010 according to a report from officebroker.com, a report which also revealed growing commitment levels and rising levels of interest in this alternative workspace solution.

Part of its Serviced Office Review series, officebroker.com provides a month-on-month comparison of activity within the East MidlandΓÇÖs serviced office market ΓÇô which includes the office space markets of Nottingham, Derby, Leicester and Northampton ΓÇô and is the only regular source of statistics for the UKΓÇÿs serviced office market.

The report shows that the number of businesses entering serviced office space via officebroker.com between July ΓÇô September 2010 was 37% higher than during the same period of 2009, suggesting that more and more businesses are turning to serviced offices to meet their workspace requirements.

In addition, the Serviced Office Review: East Midlands Q3 2010 report also reveals that officeberoker.com has experienced an 18% increase in the number of enquiries for serviced office space.

The report does however show that average workstation prices throughout serviced offices in the East Midlands have decreased having fallen to an average of just £183.00 – a decrease of £68.00 on the average workstation price of £251.00 recorded in Q3 2010.

Another positive from the report however is the news that those businesses entering serviced office space during this three month period were committing to longer initial license lengths, moving from an average of 5.9 months to 9.1 months.

Produced by the UKΓÇÖs largest independent broker of serviced office space, the Serviced Office Review series from officebroker.com is delivered each financial quarter, with each of the 12 regional reports that make up the series providing information on supply, demand, up-take, price, workstation requirement and license length.
