Mixed use scheme and office space planned for Holborn

Mixed use scheme and office space planned for Holborn

A mixed-use scheme which includes affordable housing, student accommodation, retail and restaurants has achieved planning consent in London’s Holborn. Office space is also part of the scheme – with around 154,000 sq ft on the cards.

In a report by Property Week, Dan Burr of Sheppard Robson, who is behind the architectural design and planning of the development, said:

“We have worked hard to re-engineer this city block with an optimum mix of uses. The proposal will restore listed buildings back to their original residential use and retain valuable elements of other properties. The scheme complements these buildings with a striking contemporary office design at its heart.”

Holborn occupies a sought-after location in London, with the Holborn tube station providing excellent transport access to other parts of the City. The popular leisure and entertainment locations of Covent Garden and Soho are also just minutes away.
