Manchester Office Space ΓÇô Albany Tower Enters Administration

A development site that was originally to be occupied by a 44-Storey building offering office space in Manchester has entered the market after the company who owns the site was placed into administration.

The development, which was to be named Albany Tower, is said to have experienced cash-flow problems as a result of the turbulent economic climate that impacted upon the companyΓÇÖs ability to function.

Placed into administration on Wednesday, Albany Crown based in Liverpool apparently gained planning permission for the skyscraper around 6 years ago on what is a well located and attractive site. Intended to offer both residential and prime office space the Albany Tower had apparently also attracted interest from Sir Richard Branson as a possible location for the first ever Virgin Hotel.
