Local Networking Promoted by Basepoint
Basepoint’s Newhaven Business Centre has been encouraging its tenants to establish commercial relationships through hosting coffee mornings and various networking events to help promote and develop a strong sense of community within the centre.
Claire Duc the centre manager advises that such events are proving beneficial with many of the companies based at the centre now “conducting business with one another and sharing services and expertise.”
Simon Smyth (pictured left) from Computer-Eyez comments that “there is a really strong sense of community here, with a fantastic mix of people and companies. We are quite easy going and are always willing to help other tenants out and many do the same for us.”
Helen Macaulay (pictured centre) now uses Computer-Eyez for her IT support, along with networking with other tenants. Helen also remarks that she often “receives new business enquiries from recommendations” made by centre manager Claire.
Body Shapers’, on site gym manager, Angela Powman (pictured right) has increased her members to near maximum capacity through regularly attending the networking events with word of mouth spreading what her business offers. She is now looking to open “another Body Shapers gym at a different Basepoint venue.”
This modern centre, situated close to the town of Newhaven, offers a range of serviced office space suited for companies housing up to 10 employees.
