Liverpool Pushing Forward for Future
Liverpool is seeking to position it and its office space as a key location for business relocation and expansion, this is the message being sent by Liverpool City Council as they continue to push ahead in their attempts to attract significant inward investment to the City.
Following on from their attendance at last yearΓÇÖs Shanghai Expo, at which they sought to highlight the City to Chinese investors, the City Council have continued to draw attention by promoting the City to a group of industry influencers, investors and commercial property agents at a special event held at the iconic Gherkin building in Central London.
Highlighting the relocation of key BBC departments to nearby Salford Quays as evidence, the City Council would appear to believe that decentralisation will continue to take place, with the offices and investment opportunities offered by Liverpool ideally suited to such activity in the future.
Indeed with the concentrated focus now being placed on Salford Quays and Manchester as a result of the BBC move, it is perhaps essential that the Council takes this proactive approach to securing investment and promoting Liverpool as a prime business location ΓÇô for fear of being overshadowed by its nearby neighbour.
To help drive these aspirations forward, proposed development such as PeelΓÇÖs Liverpool Waters Scheme and the selling of Council owned offices and assets will all be promoted.
