Liverpool FC confirm new office base for commercial operations
Liverpool Football Club have secured a new home for their commercial operations, previously based within the iconic Anfield Stadium, having confirmed their new office base at 20 Chapel Street in Liverpool.
The building, owned by Rumford Investments, was completed in 2006 and is already occupied by the like of Barclays, Bank of Ireland and Ernst & Young. Liverpool FCΓÇÖs commercial operations will occupy an entire floor of the building, with an option in place take over a further two floors should they wish to relocate additional departments away from the stadium ΓÇô a useful outlet should the proposed plans for a new stadium finally come to fruition.
Christian Purslow, managing director of Liverpool FC, was quoted as saying: “Liverpool FC is a rapidly expanding business and the new office space gives us room for growth and the opportunity to bring our commercial team together in one location. This will clearly help us to work more effectively and efficiently and to drive forward our development off the field.”
The addition of such a prestigious client was welcomed by Rumford Investments, and will help toward filling the 150,000 sq ft building that has reportedly been slow to secure occupiers since opening in 2006.
