Historic Bremen Office Property Shows its “Creative spirit”
A business park offering serviced office space in the 1200 year-old port city of Bremen, North-West Germany, is revealing its “creative spirit” as part of an on-going restoration project.
Bremen is located along the river Weser and boasts a lively cultural scene with many key historical features, ranging from the ancient and imposing Bremen Cathedral, to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Market Square.
The business park is located just north of the city centre, offering serviced office space on Fabrikenufer in the heart of the ├£berseestadt. According to Kremena Wissel – Head of Marketing for Sirius Facilities – this is an “upcoming area” and one that is popular with clients using the facilities. As the former site of Caf├⌐ HAG, which originated in Bremen in 1906, this historical site has been restored and modernised and has now been transformed into a “lively business park” with a range of workspace options and excellent corporate facilities.
Kremena commented: “Our clients like the atmospheric harbour location with views across the water, the combination of historical buildings and modern flexible workspace, and the creative spirit of the art-studios and workshops, along with the flexibility of our space and the service packages.”
Renowned architect Hugo Wagner designed the former factory buildings, and these landmarks dominate the riverbank where the world-famous coffee HAG brand was developed, produced and distributed.
As part of on-going development in the area, the historic site is being carefully refurbished and iconic features such as the marble hall (pictured) are being returned to their former glory.
“A true landmark of the site is the marble hall,” says Kremena. “The historic, listed space is currently being restored and reopened for the public as a magnificent ball, event and meeting room.”
The business park, which is made up of several buildings offering serviced office space, also provides multi-use production areas, creative studios, meeting rooms with views of the river, an on-site coffee roasting shop, and of course the superb marble hall.
“The site will become a platform for creative industries and venue for cultural events,” Kremena added.
