Haiti Funds raised by Central Glasgow business centre team
Customer Service Co-Ordinator Karen Kernohan, of Abbey Offices in Central Glasgow , was so inspired by the recent actions of rescuers following the tragic earthquake in Haiti that she decided, along with the help of her team, to arrange some help of their own.
The serviced office team in Central Glasgow took it upon themselves to organise a raffle on behalf of their clients in order to raise as much money as possible for the victims of this disaster. The prizes, which included wine, toiletries and chocolates were donated by the business centre team and raised an impressive £250.
John Nixon, Centre Manager for Glasgow Central, is delighted with the efforts of his team ΓÇ£All members of my team dug deep into their pockets to donate the prizes and I hope our contribution can go some way to helping the plight of the Haitian people in their hour of needΓÇ¥
With survivors being pulled alive from the rubble two weeks after the 7.0 earthquake first struck, it highlights how funds such as those raised by the Abbey Offices team in Central Glasgow will not only help to rebuilt the devastated Caribbean Island but also contribute to the immediate rescue efforts.
